BCR staff archaeologist conducted three cultural resources assessments for telecommunications projects, two in unincorporated Jefferson County, the City of Arvada in 2017. Tasks included records searches through the Colorado Cultural Resource Online Database, systematic pedestrian surveys, and completion of reports pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966 (as amended; 1992), and its implementing regulations, 36 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 800. For the purposes of this project, Section 106 requirements are specified in the Nationwide Programmatic Agreement for Collocation of Wireless Antennas and the Nationwide Programmatic Agreement for Review of Effects on Historic Properties for Certain Undertakings Approved by the Federal Communications Commission Nationwide Programmatic Agreement. Reports were successfully completed and received concurrence from the Colorado State Historic Preservation Officer.
