Bakersfield, Kern County
BCR Consulting LLC conducted a cultural resources records search through the Southern San Joaquin Valley Information Center, additional research, pedestrian field inventory, paleontological overview, and Sacred Land File search with the Native American Heritage Commission for a 48-acre project in the City of Bakersfield. During the research and field survey, staff identified five historic-period cultural resources and documented them on DPR523 forms. These included three utility alignments, one refuse scatter, and a 14-acre oil well and pump site within a former power plant. These resources were recorded and evaluated for California Register of Historical Resources listing eligibility (i.e. CEQA significance). The report was successfully completed for the City of Bakersfield.
